Welcome to Auction Season 2011-12!!! Yes, it is a season. Every January and February for the last four years, in my house, it is a time when my laptop becomes a family member, and sleepless nights are the norm. Beds are not made, the car is a mess, the fridge is empty, and take out is flowing... But the energy around being a part of something so important makes all the work completely worth it. Every day I drop my boys off at school, I think about how so, so fortunate we are that they get to spend their early years in a clean, safe environment, under the guidance of our loving, dedicated teachers and staff. I believe that one of the reasons our community is so strong is that we share the same appreciation for the opportunities our Greenbrook kids have to connect with and learn about so many different things in our ever-changing world. It just doesn’t get better than that.
Your participation in this Online Auction will help to ensure that those special programs and people, which make Greenbrook so amazing, can continue as we move forward together. It takes a village of amazing volunteers who work hard behind the scenes to make the Online Auction happen. We have been planning since the summer – and there is nothing quite like the feeling of pulling up the curtain when “showtime” finally arrives! I continue to be humbled, grateful, and inspired by the energy of our community rallying around our kids and our school.
